Why the Everglades? SNOOK... Yes, that one fish owns my heart. No other fish can get close to what this magnificent fish can do to you. Sure, Tarpon are fun, and I want everyone to hook up with one just to watch the show. The Trout, Redfish, Pompano provide lots of action, great fun, and delicious meals, but it is the Snook that will keep you coming back.
I have people ask me all the time "What makes the Snook so special?" It's real simple. Take your favorite fish, put it on steroids, make it jump, and realize this fish is not only trying to tear up my tackle, but it's thinking during the whole fight about where to cut me off or break me off in the mangroves. Yes, I fully believe Snook think. WOW, what a fish!
